Link updates

This post is basically to let you all know I have updated the download section of this blog.
I got an email from a nice reader telling me there were some links down/not working properly, so I have also used this occasion to upload some new magazines like mori girl papier #5 and mori girl lesson #4. You can find that and more in the download page.

In case you previously downloaded the exercice pages file, I also uploaded a new file with new pages since I couldn't find the original one in my computer.

And since this would be a really boring post if I left it at that, here are some inspo for summer coordinates.

Isn't she lovely giveaway

There were some big news I was talking about in my last post, and that is *drum roll* that I'm moving to Australia for the next 7 monts!
And I'm doing that tomorrow. I know it's a sudden announcement but this last few days have been crazy busy.

Plus, 4 months ago was this blog's first anniversary! Congratulations to Moko moko!
With 190+ followers, 137 posts and lots of great people I got to know thanks to blogging.

All that deserves....

...a giveaway!

The prize is a secret, but I can tell you already it is mori-related.

I will announce the yummy things you'll get once I've settled down, but for now, you can enter the giveaway the usual way:

-You need to be a follower+leave a comment with your email.
-Extra points: promote the giveaway (twitter+1p; facebook +1p; blogpost +1p; etc)
You can wait until I post more info about it to start promoting the giveaway, then comment again with links.

See you on Sept. 1st! (hopefully!)

How to find the perfect dress.

Hi there guys!
I know I've been away for more than it's usual from me, but if you follow me on twitter, you might know already that I got a job two weeks ago (the time I stopped posting).
That's great news but at the same time, the job is eating up all my time (although I'm enjoying it as much as I can since I'm learning lots!), and when I'm not there, I'm at school, so when I get home I'm really tired and can't get my brain to function, even though I have lots of posts on the queue and in my head.
I also have lots of coordinates drawn, ready to be scanned/edited and posted. But those all will have to wait until I'm used to my new schedule.

All that said (phew, sorry!) I didn't want to end the year without wishing you all a Happy New Year (and a belated merry Christmas, or whatever it is you celebrate in your house, if you do at all).

So, what are you all doing to celebrate the end of the year? Any big list of wishes for next year?

I'm going to a party tomorrow night after midnight, and this in the card are the colors I plan on wearing!
I know someone is trying to make it a twenties-themed party, so I'll try my best to find the perfect dress tomorrow! I have less than 24 hours and I work tomorrow morning... help!
I already got the perfect shoes three days ago and then I'll only need some make-up and everything will be ready!
That reminds me, I have lots of new clothes to post! There's no end to all the things I need to post about. But I don't have the time to!

New giveaway and new surprises!

It's been three months since this blog's first giveaway, I thought it was time to make another one, since, in that short time, this blog went from barely 20 readers and 1,000 visits to 67 readers (plus the people that reads it annonymously, thanks!) and more than 7,000 visits.
I also have been talking, mostly in the first giveaway, that I was planning something bigger for my first giveaway, but that couldn't be eventually.
Now the time has come and I'm ready to let you all now, I'm so excited about this! I hope you are as much as me!
This giveaway's to celebrate the opening of my own Etsy store! As some of you may have noticed if you read the blog directly from the page and not on a reader, it's been open only since a couple of days ago, and you can find the banner to go to the shop in the sidebar.

Yes! the shop's named after the blog.

Just a few things listed for now, but I'll be selling prints and original drawings soon too! As soon as I scan and photograph everything c:
I'll also be doing custom orders of anything that's available in the shop (painted sneakers, drawings, accessories...). So if you're interested, don't hesitate to contact me.

Now, onto the giveaway!
It's pretty similar to my last one, but I hope you still like it!
All items, except the kawaii sheets, are hand-made by me, original goods you won't be able to find in the shop!

You can find the bases in my blog-folio and all the chances to win. You're not obliged to follow it in order to participate in the giveaway, so don't worry.

Changing the topic, I already have planned three outfits for London, once I've figured the rest out, I'll draw them and present them to you c:
I'm aware it's rainy and not so summerish right now over there, but still, I don't have any plans on bringin long pants or thick jackets. Wish me luck!

Important, seems like people been having trouble with disqus commenting form lately, so if you can't comment on the entries, please email me to yumepony [at] gmail [dot] com so I can report what kind of trouble you're having commenting so they can try fix it, thanks!

Great surprises got home today!

There are several news concerning this blog and its periphery I thought were worth mentioning arround here.

First of all is that I created a new tumblr account. You may ask, why? because you don't have anything else important to do?
And I may answer, not really, but since I post a lot of snapshots and coordinates, and I enjoy seeing new ones too, that's what I'm going to post in that tumblr.
You can find it here: Snapshots for your consideration.

Other great news is that I made a new blog on blogsport as a lame substitute of the portfolio I don't have. Yet.

Blog's header. No name, no nothing... Keeping things simple haha
I won't be updating this one any less-at least that's my intention, so you don't have to worry.
You also have a banner to the blog-folio on the sidebar, so you can go there anytime you want c:
The blog's opening means (probably) that you'll see less of my work here (and a few reposts there). At least full art posts like the deer or the zoo ones. That doesn't mean I'll stop posting drawings here c:

Remember I said I did win Lacosta's giveaway at Laurita? Stuff in the mail! Beware of the cuteness!
And thanks a lot to Lacosta. She's such a nice girl, and has a super cute blog, so go read it! tehee

That's what was waiting for me in the post office today! (since the postman came yesterday, but I wasn't at home...)

Metamorphose mini towel, Baby TSSB calendar and catalogue (♥) and panda coin purse!
Now I feel cheap when I remember my own giveaway XD Sorry Miruku♥

Super sweet message from Lacosta♥♥ I always get super excited when someone says kind things about my drawings out of nowhere ;A;

I think this ilustration for June is the one I like the most♥

This month's page!

I don't know if everyone has seen it already, or if someone wants to take a full look at it? If anyone's interested, I can scan it and share, just leave a comment! c:

This is the cutest out of all! (and basically the main reason for my joining! haha)

Full of pennies for my London trip!

And, is this a mini towel? I'm not sure, but anyways, cute! ;A; yay for baking bear!

And last but not least, I decided to skip tomorrow's coordinate catch up post to make a big anouncement, so remember to check back!
(I haven't drawn/worn any interesting coordinates this week anyways so this comes right in time! haha)

I know I'm forgetting something, but I can't remember what it is, so this posts ends here today c:

You know summer is here when you see jellyfishes.

I'm a bit sad to say this, but I'll pretty much will be taking a week off from bloggin'!
A friend's coming to stay at my house for a few days and so, I won't have much time to spend arround here (don't think I'll be commenting much on your entries either, I'm so sorry! But I promise I'll do a catch up when I'm back c:)

Anyways, good news! I got another job interview tomorrow! Just for the weekends, but at least it's something. I may be able to go to Manchester for Laura's birthday party if everything goes well ;A;
Also, my teacher said she got today my zoo card, so I can go for free anytime I want! yay! More animal drawings!
I'll go get it tomorrow too. And will go fetch Mayuko at the airport tomorrow too. I'll have a really packed day! hah

And remember I said something about a camera? Didn't get the subaquatic camera yesterday, since the one I wanted was sold out and I wanted to compare prices/properties before buying a different one. They're all 20€ or so above what I wanted to spend, but one has video recording too, so I'll probably get that one.

Video recording to film jellyfishes as big as the ones I saw last weekend! They were BIG! Creepy and cool at the same time! hhaa
There were a lot, but the sea is biiig, and deeeep, so it didn't look as if.

First drawing is what I think I saw. Translucent/white jellyfish with a bit of blue. About 30cm long.
My dad almost touched one accidentally! He freaked out a bit! haha

Then, I got home and searched on the internet which kind of jellyfish it was.
The closest one I could find wasn't exactly what I saw. At least I think so.
Rhizostoma pulmo. Scientific name.

So, do you have any nice experience with jellyfishes? Own a subaquatic camera? Any recommendations?

Mori girl note for summer

So Mori girl note magazine is already out.
This time it unveils the mistery concerning how to enjoy summer while still dressing in Mori.
I still see too much layering for my taste, but well, judge by yourself.

I've uploaded the whole magazine here. (thanks to Tokyo jam for the original upload!)
I also want to let you know I've made a directory with all the things I've been uploading so far. It's placed in the top bar, and you can access it from here.

I'm so glad because this time the magazine features MEG and Carlolina Glasser. I'm always happy to see her! haha

Promo for her new single, "Secret Adventure" (B side is "Gray").
I highly reccomend it! I'm in love with it!

The magazines also features a tomboyish look (even the photoshoot is called "like a tomboy"), but that doesn't mean mori is heading towards a more boyish looking style.

Princess/girlish style is always higly encouraged.

There's a tumblr out there that features mori girl, and there was one time a complain that fairy/dolly key was posted on there too.
Well, they're quite related and more than often, mori and dolly and fairy get mixed in the same coordinate. You can even mix it with marine items! There's no room for purism in fashion anymore!

The magazine also talks about some nuance-kei (nuance style, ニュアンス系) but I don't know much about it yet.

Looking at this snapshots, I still prefer mori. I'm a sucker for lace and white, what can I say! haha

Also brings the Mori "master" items. Nice!

1) Flower pattern
2) Lace
3) Leggins
4) Haori (it's a traditional japanese formal coat, but you can always use a cardi instead)
5) Unbleached clothes/ linen
6) Polka dot
7) Basket Bag
8) Animal motifs
9) Knit accessories
10) Voluminous scarfs

Aside from this, important mori items are also oncepieces, oversized clothes, clogs (didn't like this trend when it started to pop-up, but now I'm starting to look at clogs with new eyes), backpacks (since mori girls like woods and picnics, there's no better bag to carry your things), sandals, natural accessories, denim, ...

Covers a two-week day by day coordinate shoot for outdoor activities.

Also, has a report on how to style shoes+socks. All kind of shoes and all kind of socks! (without losing focus on the mori style, of course.)
I really like to combine my pumps with socks, so this is pretty cool!

Home wear for mori girls is a lot more colorful and less simple than the outdoor clothes. I don't think it matches too much with the trend, but well.

Then some talk about mori fashion i can't really understand and some shop recommendations and mori cooking recipes. (You can find all this in the mag so go download it! :D)

And of course, lots of snapshots. Here some of my favs!

I'll be talking soon about Made in Colkinikha.

I'm SO in love with this coordinate...

And we can't forget about hair inspiration. Just one tutorial tho D:

Even if this is supposed to be the summer styling, I still see too much clothes. I really get hot in summer, plus summer in Japan is pretty unbearable.
Maybe they're using lots of white for this reason.
What are your thoughts on this
?
There are a few snapshots I'd definitely copy though. I'm in love with this trend after all! haha

Here are the previous Mori-related magazines I've talked about on this blog. If you want to see the posts about them, you can easily find them throught the tag cloud on the sidebar.

You can read the fall/winter post about mori for colder looks.

On a side note, I noticed my posts get kind of long every now and then, so since I've found a way to keep them inside a cut (something like a lj-cut :D), would it be more confortable for you all if I did that, or do you prefer the posts as they're now?
