Vintage and second hand hunt

Last week I went with a friend to rediscover Barna (why is it that foreign people know more about the place where you live than yourself??).
(Remember to click on any picture to see it bigger!)

She took me to her favorite vintage shop called Lullaby vintage, and of course, I had to get something D:
 Pretty baby yellow blouse ♥
And a kinda sporty, retro top. Cute ♥

This shop is located in the number 22 of Riera Baixa street, which is a street full of second hand/vintage shops like M.O.T.E.L., G.I.Joe, Billie Jean, Carrousel, Smart and clean, Slang, De Faralaee and Lailo.

Went into almost all of them, but didn't get a single piece of anything. I am prouf of my endurance skills! (which failed on me two days ago when I got three cameras in a street market D:)

Also went to the Kling shop, there are lots of shops that carry stuff from them which you can find everywhere, but only one brand shop.
Picture from their website
I didn't get anything from there (was so tempted to buy a super cute round straw hat!), but just going there was worth it, super cute shop!
Check the location on google maps, if you ever happen to come to Barcelona.
And the greatest thing, you can buy online!
There's also a few great cute/indie shops in that street (Banys nous).

What I did get were some cute headphones from the brand Onto, which are awesome sound-wise.
Got them at a shop called The rent shop where my friend got a pair of Vivienne Westwood's Melissa flats for only 25€! (no right size for me=no shoes for me orz)

I also have been doing some personal vintage hunt in my mom and grandma's closets, which led to the greatest findings:

This pair of Missoni glasses I now use as my regular pair of glasses after having the glass changed to my eye prescription.
I am in love.
These ones are a pair of sunglasses which are too cool for words.
Which I also love to death.
These ones are Laura Biagiotti. I still need to change the glass, but I'm sure I'll eventyally do.

All of these I got from my mom. And she got them more than 20 years ago! It is quite amazing she still has them since she likes to throw away everything she doesn't use anymore.

And this kids, is why you should never ever throw anything away, you never know what you son/daughter will love when they grow up!

Like this bra I got from my mom also, which is extremely cute, even if I forgot to draw the dots on it!

This is a dress my granny made for my aunt in the 80s or the 90s that she used to wear to go partying.
I still need to gather the courage myself to wear it! (outside my house, that's it).

I've got a big announcement to make, that will be accompanied by a giveaway. Tomorrow. So stay tunned! haha

Brand introduction. Or more like, a way to find new things.

Weekend is coming! And I won't be arround here, so I should post already or you'll have to wait until Monday c:
I'm not very much inspired (what's happening this week with me??) so I'll just post about some eyecandy I found some months ago.

Zozo resort is another of your japanese online super big stores (kinda like Rakuten) with lots of brands, where more "indie" fashion can be found.
Zozo also lets you create your own blog, much more simple and with less features than what, for example, ameba could offer.

You can find MEG's blog hosted at zozo people and Carolina Glaser staff's blog too, with updates from the shop and everything. A bating ape has a presence there too, to name a couple of more popular names.

I've also found some really interesting shops and pieces from independent designers. Really cute stuff arround there! (pretty expensive too, I assume most of the pieces are OOAKs and the like).

First brand i want to talk about is Syrup. (fullstop included in the name), blog here.
Amazing, cute, pretty, wonderful, out of a cupcake, agsgagh!

Another brand I came to like is Mother. It's less showy than Syrup. but has an adult but natural feeling that I find very appealing. Everyday wear very much.
This brand's designer is a super cute girl called Eri who is a designer for another couple of brands (amazing!).

Aren't these clothes so pretty?

And taling about MEG (what? I'm sure it's the first time I talk about her!) her collaboration with Frappbois is already sold out!
No wonder at all though.

Nakata and a few more personalities did collaborate too, but hers was one that sold out fast (the rest are close too, if they didn't already).

She also appears in Frapbois's new video for their autumn/winter collection, stopmotion cuteness.
You can see it here.
I'm not much impressed with the video. It's pretty, but not amazing. She looks ultra cute as always though.
Also, the music is composed by her and Dave Liang as it seems (not much lyrics to be credited). Not too sure about that D:

So, your plans for the weekend? Hope you get to do lots of fun things!

Lolitas, decoras, gals and other japanese styles in Barcelona

Madame Chocolat is a shop that opened recently (June 12th) in Barcelona.
The cool thing about it is that it's a specialized clothes and accessories shop all about japanese fashion.
I haven't been to the shop yet, but you can see lots of pics in their blog. I'll try to go soon and take some pics to post here! I hope they let me! haha
If you happen to be in Barcelona, or live there, or whatever, just have the chance to take a look, the place is situated in Passeig de Sant Joan 5 (esquina Alí Bei).

And today, TV3 (important TV station from Catalonia) did a report about the shop and japanese fashion in Barcelona (and in Spain, kinda).

The video is 80% catalan and 20% spanish, so sorry about that, but still, you can see some cute girls.

They talk about what is fashion, and japanese fashion to them, how is it different here from Tokio, when they wear those clothes and a few more things.
And the people from the TV look kinda understanding and don't mess up with the explanations or anything, pretty odd coming from TV people.

On a side note, PetSugar is in the middle of her crusade for gettin her dream come true: being photographed by Jamie Nelson.
His photos are really something, so beautiful and poetic! And I'd really love to see the lovely PetSugar photographied by him, so please, go take a look at the post and help her in whatever way you can! c:

You can't find it? Make it!

One of the things I really enojoy is making things.
I prefer a cute self-done accessories than a bought ones. That doesn't mean I don't love shopping for accessories XD thing that I love too, but things you made yourself have that special feeling, that something that makes them nicer. Plus, you are the one who chooses everything, from the design, to the colors, etc, so it surely is perfect when done.

Obviously not everything cames out nice and well done the first or second time, perfection needs practice, but for me, it's worth it, even if in the process you get a bit depressed.

So, over the years, reading magazines, browsing the web and reading blogs, I've ended piling up a lot of DIY tutorials, from reciclyng clothes to making pouches and a lot of random things.

And I'll share now some of my favorites. This first post of DIY series is a collectin of tutorials done by bloggers and about clothing or accsessories, so lots of links ahead!

I'm really in love with this idea. And it's so simple!

Violet le beaux's usamimi.

It's super cute and easy to do (at least she makes it look like it!).
And she also has a lot of other tutorials, hair, slippers, sorting out your nail polish, deco, ...

I find this necklace amusingly easy to do!
From here. The site's full of great ideas!

One project i'm definetely doing is this knitted sailor collar by Noncsika.

There are no instructions in this post, but it's a pretty easy project to figure out, and a really original idea full of possibilities!
From Plush you. Click on the pic for the link.

Love skirts+love people teaching me to sew=

I don't really like denim in general, but she turned this jacket into such a cool vest! I'd love to try it.

So, what are your fav DIYs? Anything interesting to share? Do you like to do things by yourself or you are among all that kind people who like to buy what others make?

Latest purchases, cleaning day and something about my dad's birthday

Some purchases I made today, I wanted a couple of things from Blanco and since I found a 20% discount code two days ago, I decided it was time to go.
The purse I've been looking for days wasn't there, so instead I got this skirt. Looks like something LizLisa would do, doesn't it! Plus, it came with the (brown) belt.

New bikini! I don't really need one, but I fell in love with this one's print. So since I had the 20% discount code, I got it! It was pretty cheap anyways so...

Close-up of the print because I like it lots!

Then I went to the art supply shop and got all this.

Canson paper, I love to draw on canson paper! In fact, the bookmarks for the giveaway are drawn in canson paper.
White acrylic paint (run out of it! and it's a vital "color" for me!)
And last but not least, a canvas. My dad's bd is in a couple of months, and he's been asking me to paint something for him for quite a while now. This is just the right time! haha.

And I'm pretty broke, so I here and now promise I won't window shop anymore, since that makes me spend *compulsive buyer* D: and I don't have anymore money to spend!

Lastly, my colection of neckleaces (I don't wear them often, so I don't really have many).
This board was full of papers and random shit. I went berserk yesterday and cleaned it.

1-Hindu/indian/don't-really-know hand I got from my mom's friend a long time ago.
2-Turtle pendant my friend bought me from his trip to Puntacana.
3-Ribbon necklace from H&M.
4-Holga necklace my friends made for my birthday Better pic here.
5-Barbie pendant I got thousand of years ago when I was a Barbie fanclub member.
6-Two hearts necklace I made.
7-Ai Otsuka's Love bunny a friend got me in Budapest giveaway :D
10-Shu-shu I made from scrap clothes. With a clown print.
11-Another big clip. Black this time. I think I stole both clips from my sis... Anyways, she hasn't said anything about them yet, so I think I'm safe.
12-Super amazing indian-inspired elephant necklace! Got lots of compliments when I wore it for the first time the other day!
13-Super old black shu-shu.
14-Super normal black band.
15-Paper where I've written all the plants I want.
16-Paper where I've drawn a few clothes of mine. Just because I like them I suppose.
17-Random mask I got somewhere. But I think it's pretty just hanging on there.

That's it for today!

Carolina Glasser.

Something you should know by now about me is that I'm a big MEG fan.
Her music is produced by Mr Nakata (big fan of him too) who also produces Perfume and has a band with Toshiko Koshijima named Capsule.

The thing about this girl is that I love her style a lot (she's also a Mao look-a-lie imo! Any Sid fans arround?). And recently, she's been following the mori trend! Which I love.

Besides being a singer, MEG is also a designer for the brand Carolina Glaser and specializes in comfortable clothing, light colors and much wearable. Great for mori girls.

It's a bit on the expensive side, but I'm sure the quality is worth it.

Some of the items I'm in love with. (Click pic for more info)

All clothes and accessories from Carolina Glaser.
(she also models for the brand from time to time)

18900Y (;A;)

Also selling make-up, accessories and shoes, Carolina Glaser is a very versatile brand.

I'm completely in love with this! (and with her pic too! ahah) but ¥4,095!

Super cute collar.

They don't have international shipping YET, since they're still working in the "import" section of the site.

They recently launched a t-shirt colaboration with evangelion!
It shows Asuka mimicking Meg's jacket for the single "OK".

More info about the collab (in japanese)

Btw, MEG's new single is just great (I don't really like the pv thought).

Do you like this brand? Did you know it already? Would you buy anything from it if you had the chance?

Also, don't forget to enter the giveaway if you haven't done it already!
