Lolitas, decoras, gals and other japanese styles in Barcelona

Madame Chocolat is a shop that opened recently (June 12th) in Barcelona.
The cool thing about it is that it's a specialized clothes and accessories shop all about japanese fashion.
I haven't been to the shop yet, but you can see lots of pics in their blog. I'll try to go soon and take some pics to post here! I hope they let me! haha
If you happen to be in Barcelona, or live there, or whatever, just have the chance to take a look, the place is situated in Passeig de Sant Joan 5 (esquina Alí Bei).

And today, TV3 (important TV station from Catalonia) did a report about the shop and japanese fashion in Barcelona (and in Spain, kinda).

The video is 80% catalan and 20% spanish, so sorry about that, but still, you can see some cute girls.

They talk about what is fashion, and japanese fashion to them, how is it different here from Tokio, when they wear those clothes and a few more things.
And the people from the TV look kinda understanding and don't mess up with the explanations or anything, pretty odd coming from TV people.

On a side note, PetSugar is in the middle of her crusade for gettin her dream come true: being photographed by Jamie Nelson.
His photos are really something, so beautiful and poetic! And I'd really love to see the lovely PetSugar photographied by him, so please, go take a look at the post and help her in whatever way you can! c:

I'm quite mad at Mao.

I'm oh so tired today! I wasn't really going to post, since I barely can type two words in less than a minute, but something random happened, so random entry today. Sorry for any uninteresting content.

Beach today! Went a couple of hours this morning, some more hours this afternoon, and I'm completely dead!

Not from today, more like from last month, but you get the idea.

Anyone here plays pigg? It's a japanese game (more like dressing up your avatar, getting points from visiting other people's avatar, and so on) that also has a Facebook version (how lame is it that I'm in both places?? hahaa).

Anyways, I think I've never mentioned it here, but I'm a very big SID fan. I very much like them.
Well, SID's singer, Mao, is another piggu addict, talks and post pics of his own piggu quite a lot, he even made his friends join it. And holds piggu parties from time to time as well. Freak.
He's so addicted and so popular (29640 followers) in ameblo too, where he has his blog, that piggu decided to make some Mao limited items!
Got quite a shock when my friend showed it to me, but I was not surprised after all.

If you're interested, you can see the whole entry here.

These are some of the items you can buy. Pretty expensive, but not as much as limited items use to be.
You can buy Mao's wig, his stage costume, a fish (long story behind) key hold, a pai-pai,...
Also, some of the items have a leopard print (Mao=leopard print).
The funny part, ahahaa, is not that all the items are like, expensive. The best thing is that you can buy them only on the mobile site (= you can only buy them if you have a japanese mobile/are in Japan). I don't know if they'll change that, so PC users can buy them too, but I doubt it.
I don't have enought amegolds anyways, so that kind of consoles me. Bleh.

So, how's you summer been until now?

Introducing brands: grimoire and tarock

As Mori-kei gets popular day by day, same is happening to dolly-kei.
I want to introduce a couple of stores where you can find dolly-kei clothes, just because I'm in love with them! haha I find them completely compatible with mori, and you can always find interesting things looking at places outside your style range of shops.
I'm not much into that style since, althought it also abuses lace and dresses and hair accessories with flowers on them, it also makes use of more layering, clothes and item overdose. I like to keep it simple and free.
But the style really catches your attention, and it's being featured in snapshots a lot. It's getting really popular.

But first, a little about dolly-kei. I only want to say I'm no expert and I talk based on what I've read so far here and there and what I've seen. No bashing please c:
The best way to understand a fashion is looking at pictures, more than reading about rules and what a *random style name here* is and means.
Obviously a style always comes from somewhere, and means something to people, but more than anything, is something to have fun with imho.
Pics from Tokyo fashion taken at Grimoire's 2nd year anniversary.

Fur, Napoleon jackets, teddy bears, velvet, rouge, lace, huge hair arrangements, cameos, vintage accessories, flowers,... you get the idea.
The thing is, dolly kei can be taken in lots of different ways, if you take a look at the whole set, you'll notice there isn't a stric, clear and easy to follow definition of dolly kei. And I kinda like it that way.

Grimoire + twitter
"European and US antique"
You probably recognized Kaori Ogawa in the pictures, she's a model that appears in Cutie magazine and is a Grimoire staff and manager (right on the pic down here).
Together with Naoaki Tobe (owner) were the pioneers behind the Dolly-kei fashion.

Their store, situated between Harajuku and Shibuya, sells vintage, second-hand and anything that can have more years than your granny.
The fashion itself takes inspiration from antique Europe and America, and likes anything magical, fairies, old books, nature and animals, etc
So that's what you'll find in their store.
I recommend reading this article for more information and awesome pictures.

Just amazing and so beautiful I could die!

Tarock
Women and men's wear, shoes and accessories. More info about the shoppe here.
I don't know much about this brand, since I've just found it recently, but its shop is placed in Harajuku (how odd XD).
And sells dolly-key clothing, thus it being featured in this post, haha
Has a few pics in their site, no online shop and just a map to their location, but all the clothes they sell look pretty. Probably second-hand/vintage most part of them.
And the interior of the shop just looks beautiful! I'd just go to the shope to see the whole place.

I love the bunny shaped shoes at the top ;A;

kiticlik to see it bigger.

The only thing I know is that they're the responsibles of this, and I want it like mad!

Fireworks are so pretty.

Two photography posts in a row! I really hope you don't mind C:

As I said in my last post, we went to the beach to celebrate the shortest night of the year.
We saw lots of spectacular fireworks, all courtesy of the random people that was also spending their time in the beach. Yes, we could have been hurt by the fireworks, but drunkards don't pay much attention to danger...

Anyways, as I also said, I didn't bring my camera, so instead I'm posting my pictures from last year's and this year's local party, with fireworks handled by professionals. Very much more safer.haha...

Btw, the rest of the photographies from my last post have been all uploaded, so you can go see the rest right now! c:

As you can see, I pretty much like to randomly photography the lights, more than the firework itself.

Ok, I couldn't resist and made some more wallpapers! 1280x1024 as always.
Download them all here.
More wallpapers here.

Oh! And I forgot to mention, I recently made a button for the blog, so if you want me to link yours in the sidebar, just link me back with it and leave a comment so I can add you ^^

Pictures from Barcelona, with love.

This is a super rushed post, since I'm leaving in about half an hour.
Party at the beach tonight! Since it's "San Juan", celebrating the longest day of the year, or something like that. hahaa...
I'm not taking my camera with me (no battery+no time to charge D: bad organitzation!) so no great pics for tomorrow u,u
We don't have lots of fireworks anyways, so it's ok! (But I have lots of pics I made of fireworks, so if you're interested, tell me and I'll post some!)

Well, I've just scanned some pictures I took last year for my photography class. With my friend's analogic camera (since mine is broken now and forever more...*sobs*)

The color didn't come out well, since I had some troubles with the developing liquids and stuff.. but I like them lots anyways.

All of them are of Barcelona. Hope you like them!

I like this last one lots.

I know they look like photos taken 50 years ago, but I swear they were taken last year! haha

And I'm so glad Miruku got her package! She's the winner of my giveaway!
Thanks so much for your nice post <3
